Born in Argentina to American parents, I was raised in five countries throughout Latin America. Although I speak fluent Spanish, I’m passionate about the English language.
After receiving a B.A. in English from Stanford University, I worked as a journalist. I subsequently received a J.D. from the University of Utah, where I was a teaching assistant for legal writing. I practiced employment law at a firm in Salt Lake City, then served as legislative counsel and speechwriter for Sen. Slade Gorton (R-WA) in the U.S. Senate.
While raising four children, I served as executive director of a nonprofit foundation; taught English, U.S. History, U.S. Government, and Spanish as a substitute in all grades from elementary through high school; and wrote and edited the bi-monthly school newspaper for six years.
For seven years, I worked as a writer and senior editor for RMS Productions, a company that partners with the Department of Defense to produce historical commemoratives for the U.S. Armed Forces. I also co-wrote the screenplay for an award-winning documentary on the Korean War, The Remembered War.
I began my own editing business five years ago. I also serve as executive director for Mobility for Kids, a nonprofit foundation that helps children with special needs.
